QUARANTINE 2020 : A REALITY CHECK
THE OUTBREAK OF CORONA VIRUS - The pandemic that has brought every person on the road encased in their respective homes, to be accurate- their so called 'cages' as they term it now.
The very outburst of the virulent virus COVID-19 in one of the biggest economies of the world, has paralysed the health and life care system of the whole world. The epidemic caused by the spread of the deadly corona virus from China later to south east Asia , next towards US, Europe and many other larger economies has put the world in an alarming situation. The WHO has even termed the situation as world crisis as the count of affected and dead people all over the world has crossed in thousands then in lakhs and finally there have been unending numbers of affected persons across the globe. With our economy falling in this fiscal year , there's been a significant drop in the global economy too , but still there's nothing we can do now rather being a mute spectator to this disaster. But this epidemic has made everyone learn about the priorities in one's life though.
The lock down of different countries to prevent the Wuhan type situation that stockpiled the huge number of dead bodies of their country has compelled the government to remain shut to the outer world to combat the epidemic from spreading. As our country India has succeeded the number count of affected population too, our centre and state governments have decided to lock down our country for a span of more than a month since the first death of the affected patient of it. Since then the government has asked every people in the country to social distance each other from the outer surroundings and other person to protect themselves from the fatal disease. The idea of quarantine has demanded people to stay indoors and venture out the least. Hence the people have started clinching back to their homes in the fear of the virus so as to remain alive as death is the ultimatum to this epidemic.
Haven't we all desired for such breaks to give a pinch of flamboyancy while breaking the strain of the bored melancholy of our lives? Truly, we all have desired this lock down , may be for a few days or even a month. So, the lock down has really gave us ample of " ME" time or say " US" time for self and our families to pause for the mother earth to heal and us to contemplate what our mother earth has been rewarding us with through our entire lifetime . Let's create history by fighting an epidemic by staying indoors, planning our future course and relishing our inner talents while enjoying the sip of our coffees or teas.
The best ideas of quarantine days are within us only , so lets binge, read ,dance, learn, write, paint, pamper, play, plan and do whatever we think of but within our homes, with our families. Let's not forget, there's a whole lot staff of doctors, health care facilities working day and night to subside this epidemic staying away from their families , a lot of policemen watching out others families during the lock down to provide us with sanity and help. As a way of gratitude to them let's decrease their burden of serving alone the nation now, by doing nothing except being home bound, its so little that we can contribute as of now.
P.S. - My #QUARANTINEDAYS are made up of mandalas I am drawing, the books I am reading, tea and cuisines am trying to cook and the moments am relaxing with my family all day long.

The parks are empty, the roads are silent, the traffic's been shunned, the schools are closed, the market is without a single vendor on its edge and much of the dampness of the lesser human beings in the surrounding has been deepening the thrill associated with this horrendous situation. This epidemic has made us realise what is important for us and what's the priority in our lives - that's our health and our families as people have started bringing their families closer to them and have captivated themselves in the four walls of their houses. The offices been shut with people working from homes, the schools been closed with parents teaching their wards at their drawing rooms, the online food orders have been diminished with food being cooked in our kitchens , the groceries and food items been stocked in our store rooms and many instances more to add where people have stranded themselves in their homes only. As now we have ascertained in the time of crisis, that we only need our families and just our safe and healthy lives to survive with. I am amazed the way we fight for the other materialistic acquaintances in our lives , when at the end of the doom's day we just look forward to our families and our lives only.
The urge to explore and imply has been cornered to the four walls of our house , so we should start prioritising our real goals and survival hacks for our future lives, if at all we survived this doom's day -that's at our doorstep but which cant get through our house till we maintain social distancing in real means. Moreover, there's been a constant urge amongst us to get some leisure in our lives to start up our hobbies , get a resting break from our daily jobs, getting a week or month off just to avoid the monotonousness of our daily routine life, a break to spend time with our kids and parents, to take a venture to learn new skills online ,to read, to draw, to write, to just sit idle and stare at sky!
